If your child is struggling with social and learning skills, our occupational therapists can work alongside your child’s educators to provide skills and tactics to help them better cope with the demands of education. Our Newcastle therapists can provide both individual and peer-based sessions based upon your child’s needs.

What is the occupational therapy process? - how do I get started?

  1. Get in touch for a chat – Call or email our team today to chat with an occupational therapist regarding your concerns, to see if occupational therapy is right for your child.
  2. Book your first OT appointment – The next step is to book a consultation with one of our paediatric occupational therapists. We can visit your child at home, daycare or at school, whichever environment will work best for your child.
  3. Discuss future plans for your child – Following the initial consultation, our occupational therapist will provide their recommendations. Your child may or may not be advised to continue with occupational therapy. If we do believe your children would benefit from further OT sessions, we will work alongside your family to develop a plan which best meets your child’s needs.
