Silver Porcupine’s Occupational Therapists can visit your child in your own home, providing a more comforting and relaxed environment. Our team will also teach you how to continue our activities between therapy sessions to maximise your child’s development.

OT sessions within your child’s school or daycare centre

SPOTS can work alongside your child’s teachers to develop their motor and sensory skills. Our Lake Macquaire therapists provide both classroom/individual and peer-based social session based upon your child’s needs.

Telehealth Occupational Therapy Calls

For days that you’re unable to attend in-home and school visits, our therapists can provide telehealth sessions to ensure your child continues to develop their skills.

Does my child need Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapy is recommended for children and teens who need help developing their skills to participate in daily life tasks.

Paying for Pediatric Occupational Therapy

To ensure your child or teenager is able to receive quality support, SPOTS offers the following funding options:

NDIS

We are a registered NDIS provider and can support children who have an NDIS plan.

Medicare

Medicare rebates are also available based upon eligibility and will incur a gap fee.

Private Billing

SPOTS can also provide private OT sessions for your child. You may be entitled to a rebate through your Private Health Insurance. We recommend contacting your Insurer today to check if you’re eligible for occupational therapy rebates.

How do I arrange occupational therapy for my child?

Our team will first arrange an initial consultation to determine how we can best support your child’s needs and requirements. After meeting, our OT will prepare an ongoing plan outlining how we can best make a positive difference in your child’s day-to-day life.
